CardsIQ Payout Policy

This Payout Policy explains how CardsIQ, LLC (“CardsIQ,” “we,” or “our”) processes and issues payments for both Marketplace Sales and Value-Guaranteed Transactions. By using our platform, you agree to the terms described below.

1. Eligibility for Payouts

Users are eligible for payouts if they:

  • Are at least 18 years old, or 13–17 with verifiable parental or guardian consent;
  • Have accepted a valid CardsIQ offer, including a Marketplace Sale or Value-Guaranteed Transaction;
  • Have shipped cards in compliance with our Shipping Policy, when required for Marketplace Sales;
  • Have completed identity verification, KYC/AML review, tax verification, and any additional checks requested by CardsIQ;
  • Have submitted cards that successfully pass intake, verification, and settlement approval when verification is required.

See the Terms of Use and Shipping Policy for definitions and requirements.

2. Transaction Types

  • Marketplace Sales: User-submitted eligible graded cards shipped to CardsIQ for intake and verification. Marketplace Sales are available only for cards that meet CardsIQ’s pricing, liquidity, verification confidence, marketplace demand, and ecosystem standards. Not every submitted card will generate an offer. The offer amount locks immediately upon acceptance, and downside protection begins at acceptance. The shipment must receive the first carrier scan within 3 days of label creation, unless a different shipment window is displayed during checkout. If the package does not receive a first scan within the required window, the order may be cancelled, closed, restricted, or re-evaluated based on then-current market value. Marketplace Sales do not include upside adjustments after acceptance. Payouts are issued after receipt, intake, verification, and settlement approval.
  • Value-Guaranteed Transactions (VGTD): Cards from verified partner repacks that are covered by the CardsIQ Value Guarantee and remain secured within the partner network. While a card is in-network and eligible, payouts will not fall below the guaranteed floor for the applicable product or break, and where disclosed for a specific product, you may also receive an adjusted payout if verified live market data at the time of final pricing exceeds that floor. User shipping is not required for VGTD; verification is handled within the partner network and by CardsIQ. Once a card covered by VGTD leaves the partner network, the Value Guarantee no longer applies. Any later sale of that card to CardsIQ will be treated as a Marketplace Sale and liquidated at true real-time market value under Marketplace rules.

2A. Offer Locks and Protections (Summary)

Marketplace Sales

  • Offer amount locks immediately upon acceptance, not at carrier scan.
  • Downside protection begins immediately upon acceptance.
  • No upside adjustment applies after acceptance if market prices rise.
  • First carrier scan must occur within 3 days of label creation, unless a different shipment window is displayed during checkout.
  • Marketplace Sales may be cancelled after acceptance only until the card has been shipped.
  • Once shipped, tendered to the carrier, or scanned, the Marketplace Sale is binding pending verification.
  • Shipping label fees are non-refundable.
  • Payout is released only after successful receipt, verification, and settlement approval.

Value-Guaranteed Transactions (VGTD)
  • Applies only to eligible cards secured within the CardsIQ partner network through verified repacks.
  • No under-floor payouts while the card remains in-network and covered by the Value Guarantee for that product or break.
  • Where disclosed, payouts may be adjusted upward if verified market data at final pricing exceeds the guaranteed floor.
  • No user shipping is required for VGTD; verification and pricing are handled within the partner network and by CardsIQ.
  • Once a card leaves the partner network, the Value Guarantee no longer applies. Any later sale to CardsIQ is treated as a Marketplace Sale at true real-time market value under Marketplace rules.

3. Payout Methods

CardsIQ supports the following payout channels for wallet withdrawals. Availability may vary by region, verification status, account history, compliance review, platform operations, and provider performance.

  • Stripe (Bank Transfer / Debit Card): Standard ACH bank transfers or instant debit-card payouts processed via Stripe’s secure network.
  • PayPal: Instant or near-instant payouts to a verified PayPal account you own, when available.
  • Venmo: Instant or near-instant payouts to a verified Venmo account you own, when available.
  • User Responsibility (Accuracy): You are solely responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date payout information, including bank details, PayPal email, and Venmo username. CardsIQ is not liable for funds sent to incorrect, invalid, unavailable, restricted, or mismatched accounts resulting from information provided by the user.
  • Payout Timing Disclaimer: CardsIQ submits withdrawal requests to its payment processors when a withdrawal is approved or initiated from the CardsIQ Wallet. Delivery timeframes are controlled by third-party providers and financial institutions. Instant methods may complete quickly, but instant availability is not guaranteed. CardsIQ is not responsible for provider-side delays.
  • No Method Exclusivity: Users do not have the right to require or restrict CardsIQ to a single payout method. By connecting multiple payout methods, you authorize CardsIQ to use any available method to complete a withdrawal.

All payout methods must be owned by and registered to the verified CardsIQ user. CardsIQ may restrict, disable, delay, reroute, or temporarily remove specific payout channels based on compliance, risk review, operational needs, liquidity management, or provider availability.

3B. Wallet Control and Payout Authorization

By using the CardsIQ platform, you acknowledge and agree that all funds held within your CardsIQ Wallet are maintained within CardsIQ’s payment infrastructure and are not held in a personal bank account, custodial account, demand deposit account, or trust account on your behalf.

  • CardsIQ retains full and exclusive control over the movement, timing, and method of all payouts initiated from your CardsIQ Wallet.
  • CardsIQ may initiate withdrawals on your behalf.
  • CardsIQ may route payouts through any available payout method connected to your account.
  • CardsIQ may select, override, or change the payout method used to complete a withdrawal.
  • CardsIQ may process payouts to any verified payout destination associated with your account, regardless of user-selected preference or prior usage history.
  • If no preferred payout method is selected, unavailable, restricted, delayed, rejected, suspended, or cannot be processed for any reason, CardsIQ may automatically route funds to an alternative payout method at its discretion.
  • You acknowledge that payout methods may carry different processing speeds and fee structures, and you agree that CardsIQ is not responsible for differences in fees, timing, or delivery outcomes resulting from the selected payout method.
  • Marketplace Sale wallet credits, pending balances, or payout entries remain subject to receipt, verification, settlement approval, compliance review, and any applicable adjustments or reversals.
  • Once a payout has been initiated by CardsIQ, it is considered final and non-reversible, except where required by law.

3A. Tax Information and Reporting (W-9 / 1099)

To comply with U.S. federal tax reporting requirements, CardsIQ collects payee tax information and coordinates 1099 delivery with our payment partners:

  • W-9 collection via Persona: Before enabling payouts, CardsIQ collects your W-9 data, including name, address, SSN or EIN, and classification, through our KYC provider, Persona, using secure encrypted flows. You agree to keep this information accurate and current.
  • Stripe payouts: For payouts issued through Stripe, Stripe will generate and furnish the applicable Form 1099 on behalf of your connected account and may make it available in your Stripe-managed tax portal.
  • PayPal and Venmo payouts: For payouts issued through PayPal or Venmo, PayPal and Venmo will generate and furnish Forms 1099 directly within your respective PayPal and Venmo accounts. CardsIQ may surface links or copies in your CardsIQ profile under “Tax Documents” when available.
  • Consent to e-delivery and outreach: By using CardsIQ, you consent to electronic delivery of tax forms and to pre-filing outreach from CardsIQ and our payment partners to confirm or correct tax information. Failure to respond may delay payouts or form delivery.
  • Accuracy and updates: You are responsible for ensuring your tax information is complete and accurate. If your legal name, address, or taxpayer ID changes, update your information through Persona before initiating further payouts.
  • Data use and security: W-9 data is collected and used only to satisfy tax compliance obligations and is processed according to our Privacy Policy. CardsIQ and its service providers implement technical and organizational measures to safeguard this information.

1099 thresholds and filing rules are determined by applicable law and may change. CardsIQ and its payment partners will follow the rules in effect for the relevant tax year.

4. Name Matching and Verification

For fraud prevention and regulatory compliance, payout details must match your verified identity:

  • Account holder name must match your CardsIQ KYC name as verified through Persona.
  • We may require additional verification for new or changed payout methods.
  • Non-matching or unverifiable payout details may result in delays, holds, rejection, payout reversal, or account restrictions.
  • Payout accounts must be owned by and registered to the verified CardsIQ user.

Users must ensure all payout account details, such as bank information, PayPal email, and Venmo username, are correct and belong to them. Incorrect, unavailable, restricted, or mismatched payout information may result in irreversible payout errors.

5. Payout Timeline

  • Submission: CardsIQ submits withdrawal requests to its payment processors when a withdrawal is approved, confirmed, or initiated from the CardsIQ Wallet, subject to platform controls and payout availability.
  • Value-Guaranteed Transactions: Payouts are initiated upon network confirmation that the card is secured and verified within the partner network in accordance with the applicable Value Guarantee rules.
  • Marketplace Sales: Accepted Marketplace Sale offers lock immediately upon acceptance, but payouts are queued only after CardsIQ receives the card, completes intake, verifies the card, and approves settlement. Most Marketplace Sale payouts are processed within 1–5 business days after delivery, depending on verification volume, account standing, compliance review, processor availability, and payout method availability.
  • Delivery windows: Instant rails, including PayPal, Venmo, and instant debit, may complete quickly when available; standard ACH may take longer depending on banks and networks. All delivery windows are estimates and are subject to provider performance.
  • CardsIQ may place temporary holds for compliance checks, fraud review, chargeback risk, tax verification, account security, liquidity management, treasury operations, processor limitations, or platform maintenance.
  • CardsIQ is not responsible for third-party payment provider or banking network delays.

Shipping, scan timing, cancellation rules, and conversion rules are described in the Shipping Policy.

6. Offer Validity and Finalization

  • Offers are valid for a limited time window displayed at acceptance and may change until accepted.
  • CardsIQ is not required to generate an offer for every submitted card. Offer eligibility depends on CardsIQ’s pricing engine, liquidity standards, data coverage, verification confidence, marketplace demand, and ecosystem fit.
  • Marketplace Sales: You may cancel after acceptance only until the card has been shipped. Once the card is shipped, tendered to the carrier, or scanned, the sale becomes binding pending verification. Shipping label fees are non-refundable. If your package does not receive a first carrier scan within 3 days of label creation, unless a different shipment window is displayed during checkout, CardsIQ may cancel the order, close the order, restrict the order, or re-evaluate the offer based on then-current market conditions.
  • Value-Guaranteed Transactions: Final upon acceptance and not cancellable by the user. While the card remains secured within the partner network and eligible, the Value Guarantee rules for that product or break apply. If the card leaves the partner network before payout is completed, the Value Guarantee terminates and any sale to CardsIQ will be processed as a Marketplace Sale at true real-time market value under Marketplace rules.

For shipping obligations, first-scan deadlines, cancellation limitations, label refund rules, and Marketplace rules, see the Shipping Policy.

7. Payout Adjustments and Rejections

CardsIQ may adjust, deny, cancel, or withhold payouts if:

  • Received cards differ from the accepted offer, including incorrect grade, wrong card, mismatched certification number, or incorrect grading company;
  • Cards are counterfeit, altered, cracked, damaged, tampered with, unverifiable, or fail authentication and security checks;
  • Cards arrive damaged due to improper packaging or noncompliant shipping;
  • The submitted card does not meet CardsIQ marketplace eligibility, liquidity, verification confidence, or ecosystem standards;
  • Required pre-shipment photos were not emailed to claims@cardsiq.io in accordance with the Shipping Policy, resulting in ineligible or unsupported shipping claims;
  • The user violated the Terms of Use, Shipping Policy, or any marketplace requirement.

If a payout is adjusted, a revised offer may be presented where applicable. If rejected, return shipping must be purchased directly through the seller’s CardsIQ account before the card will be shipped back. CardsIQ is not required to advance, cover, or reimburse return shipping costs.

8. Partial Payouts for Verified Items

When an order includes multiple items and only some pass verification, CardsIQ may pay out the verified items and separately process adjustments, rejections, or return handling for non-matching items. Any item that fails verification may require seller-paid return shipping before it is returned.

8A. Rejected Cards and Return Shipping

Cards that fail verification, are rejected, are mismatched, are damaged, are altered, are counterfeit, are unverifiable, or are otherwise ineligible will not be returned until the seller purchases the required return shipping label through the CardsIQ platform.

  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the seller when a card is rejected due to mismatch, user error, failed verification, misrepresentation, damage, ineligibility, or noncompliance.
  • CardsIQ is not liable for rejected, mismatched, ineligible, damaged, or unverifiable cards if the seller refuses or fails to purchase return shipping.
  • If the seller does not purchase return shipping within 60 days after CardsIQ makes return shipping available or otherwise requests return shipping action, the seller may lose return eligibility and CardsIQ is not required to continue storing or returning the card.
  • Shipping labels, return shipping labels, platform fees, payout provider fees, membership fees, and subscription fees are non-refundable unless CardsIQ states otherwise in writing.

9. Failed or Returned Payouts

  • If a payout fails due to invalid details or provider rejection, CardsIQ will notify you to update your payout method.
  • CardsIQ may reattempt the payout once corrected details are provided.
  • Provider or banking fees related to failed payouts may be deducted from the final amount when permitted by law.
  • CardsIQ is not liable for payout failures caused by incorrect user-provided payout information, mismatched account ownership, provider restrictions, account holds, or unavailable payout rails.

10. Fees and Limits

  • Instant payout methods, including debit card, PayPal, and Venmo, may include fees or limits displayed at the time of withdrawal.
  • Fees may be netted from your payout. Limits may vary by method, account history, provider availability, and risk review.
  • Marketplace Sales may include transparent platform fees deducted from the final payout.
  • Shipping labels are seller-paid and non-refundable once generated.
  • Return shipping labels are seller-paid when return shipping is required due to rejection, mismatch, verification failure, user error, or noncompliance.
  • Users acknowledge that payout methods may incur varying fees imposed by third-party providers. By using the platform, you agree to accept any applicable fees associated with the payout method selected or used by CardsIQ, including cases where the method differs from your preferred option.

10A. Withdrawal Availability and Platform Control

CardsIQ does not guarantee continuous or immediate withdrawal availability.

  • Withdrawal functionality may be enabled, disabled, delayed, or limited at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to liquidity management and treasury operations, payment processor availability or funding cycles, system maintenance, upgrades, or outages, risk, fraud, or compliance reviews, and transaction volume or platform load.
  • Withdrawal availability may be restricted during weekends, holidays, or extended processing windows, and may not align with user expectations of “instant” access.
  • CardsIQ is not obligated to provide advance notice, real-time updates, or specific explanations regarding withdrawal availability, delays, or interruptions.
  • Wallet balances are not immediately withdrawable on demand.
  • Access to funds is subject to platform controls and payout system availability.
  • CardsIQ may manage payout timing in a manner that ensures platform stability, accuracy, and security.
  • By using the platform, you agree not to rely on CardsIQ for immediate liquidity and acknowledge that withdrawal timing may vary.

CardsIQ will post notices of extended withdrawal holds when possible, but real-time availability of payout methods may vary based on payment provider performance, processor constraints, compliance review, platform operations, and liquidity management.

10B. No Obligation for Manual Processing or Exceptions

CardsIQ does not guarantee manual processing of withdrawals under any circumstances.

  • Requests for expedited payouts, manual overrides, forced payout routing, payout reversals, or exception handling are not guaranteed and may be declined at CardsIQ’s sole discretion.
  • CardsIQ reserves the right to enforce its payout processes uniformly across all users, without exception, to maintain fairness, security, liquidity controls, and operational consistency.
  • No prior accommodation or courtesy exception creates any obligation for CardsIQ to provide the same treatment in the future.

11. Compliance and Fraud Prevention

  • All payouts are subject to KYC/AML review and ongoing transaction monitoring.
  • CardsIQ may delay, withhold, reverse, or cancel payouts where fraud, chargebacks, suspicious activity, marketplace abuse, or compliance concerns exist.
  • Use of the platform is prohibited in sanctioned regions or by restricted parties.
  • CardsIQ may restrict accounts that submit counterfeit, stolen, altered, damaged, mismatched, or intentionally misrepresented cards.
  • CardsIQ may restrict accounts that accept Marketplace Sale offers and fail to ship within the required shipment window without timely cancellation before shipment.
  • CardsIQ may restrict accounts that attempt to cancel, dispute, charge back, or reverse a Marketplace Sale after shipment has occurred.

12. Disputes

If you believe your payout was incorrect or issued in error, contact support@cardsiq.io within 3 business days of receiving the payment. CardsIQ will investigate and respond in a reasonable timeframe. Disputes do not pause CardsIQ’s verification rights, return shipping requirements, payout controls, or compliance review procedures.
